The prize consists of a 4-night all-inclusive luxury riding experience in Scotland for two people, to take part in the 2026 Edinburgh Riding of the Marches, with an approximate total value of £6,000.

2. The Prize Draw
2.1 No purchase or donation is necessary to enter or win. A purchase or donation will not increase the chances of winning.
2.2 The prize draw opens at 18:00 on Thursday 12th March 2026 and closes at 23:59 on Tuesday 31st March 2026 (the “Prize Draw Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be valid.
2.3 By entering this prize draw, entrants confirm that they accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
3. Eligibility
3.1 The prize draw is open to individuals who:
- Are aged 18 years or over at the time of entry
- Have access to the internet
- Have a valid and active email address
- Be an experienced rider and whose guest is also an experienced rider (a riding video will be required to support your riding experience)
- Meet the rider participation requirements for the 2026 Edinburgh Riding of the Marches (where applicable)
- Organisers retain the right to refuse riding participation should winner or guest be deemed unfit to ride, unsafe to ride, unable to ride or insufficiently experienced to ride.
3.2 The prize draw is not open to:
- Employees, contractors or representatives of the Promoter
- Employees of Zara’s Planet or Eventful Riders
- Anyone professionally connected with the administration of the prize draw
- Immediate family members or household members of the above
3.3 The Promoter reserves the right to verify eligibility and to request proof of age, identity and riding capability.
4. How to Enter
4.1 To enter, participants must follow Edinburgh Riding of the Marches, Eventful Riders and Zara’s Planet Adventures pages on Facebook and Instagram. Tag at least two friends you would like to bring on this trip, repost and share on stories
- Submit their email address via the official Edinburgh Riding of the Marches entry form below; and
- Opt in to receive marketing communications.
4.2 Existing subscribers may enter by re-submitting their email address during the Prize Draw Period.
4.3 Entries must:
- Be submitted in the entrant’s own name
- Use the entrant’s own valid email address
- Be fully completed
4.4 The following are not permitted:
- Entries submitted on behalf of another person
- Bulk, automated, software-generated or third-party entries
- Use of false names or identities
4.5 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, incomplete or not successfully submitted due to technical or other reasons beyond its control.
4.6 Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and used for the administration of the prize draw and associated marketing communications. Unsubscribing after entry will not invalidate an otherwise valid entry.
5. Winner Selection
5.1 One winner (the “Winner”) will be selected at random using an independently supervised electronic selection process on Wednesday 1st April 2026.
5.2 The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

7. Prize Conditions
7.1 Both the Winner and their guest must be aged 18 years or over.
7.2 Both must be experienced riders capable of completing approximately 26 miles and up to 9 hours in the saddle.
7.3 The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of riding ability.
7.4 Participation is subject to rider safety requirements, event regulations and organiser approval.
7.5 Hotel accommodation is based on two people sharing a room.
7.6 The prize is valid only for the official 2026 Edinburgh Riding of the Marches dates and cannot be transferred to alternative dates.
7.7 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and not redeemable for cash.
8. Winner Notification
8.1 The Winner will be notified by email no later than Friday 3rd April 2026
8.2 If the Winner does not respond within 7 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
8.3 In accordance with UK legal requirements, the surname and county of the Winner may be made available upon request. The Winner may object to this disclosure by contacting the Promoter; however, the Promoter may still be required to provide this information to the Advertising Standards Authority upon request.
9. Liability
9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, amend, suspend or cancel the prize draw where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
9.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the prize draw or acceptance of the prize, except where caused by the Promoter’s negligence.
9.3 The Winner may be required to participate in reasonable publicity relating to the prize draw without additional compensation.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courtss official registration form.

RIDER PARTICIPANT DETAILS – IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ!
Here are some important details for you to read if you are wanting to enter this competition to take part in the Edinburgh Riding of the Marches on horseback:
- You will need to be an experienced rider. This event is not for novice or intermediate riders. Any rider seen to be inexperienced on the ride will be removed and no refund will be issued.
- You and your horse will need to be able to endure 26 miles and 9 hours in the saddle, much of which will be fast-paced, with many very fast canters and gallops in the morning.
- You need to be able to control a galloping horse in open countryside with a large group of other horses galloping around you.
- Most riders wear smart jodhpurs, riding jackets and a shirt with a tie or a stock. Coloured hat silks not permitted.
- Correct footwear is essential (boots with a small flat heel) and anyone found to be riding in trainers will be asked to leave the ride.
- Correct, legal-standard riding helmets must be worn by all riders.
- There is a zero-tolerance alcohol policy during the ride. Anyone found to be breaching this policy will be asked to leave the ride.
- All riders who take part on horseback on the ride automatically agree to take part at their own risk. The event is heavily marshalled and First Response Ambulance and Search & Rescue crews follow the ride at all times.
